In an ongoing effort to showcase new innovations at our member institutions, ELI will be reaching out to the community this spring for a series of web seminars focused on solutions to the top five challenges. Since 2003, the Speak Up National Research Project has collected authentic feedback about technology and education from over 1.3 million K–12 students. Julie Evans, CEO of Project Tomorrow, will share results from the 2008 Speak Up Survey during the next ELI Web Seminar on February 2.

In July of 2008, members of the New Media Consortium traveled to Melbourne to meet with nearly 50 key education leaders from all over Australia and New Zealand and worked with them to publish the first-ever regional Horizon Report, part of an ongoing research project that seeks to identify and describe emerging technologies likely to have a large impact on teaching, learning, or creative expression within higher education around the globe.
