Interesting point and I see no-one has replied since Kathleen weeks ago...re-emphasising the point. Is it that there are just too many channels out there for us to participate in? Too many threads to keep on top of, too many fora ?

Who am I?

I'm the Director of the Centre for Excellence in Learning & Teaching at the National University of Ireland, Galway. We're responsible for Learning Technologies, Audiovisual systems, Language Learning Technologies, Faculty Development, Teaching & Learning Policy, Civic Engagement and miscellaneous other items! We dabble in research in HE policy & practice and the applications of learning technologies. http://www.nuigalway.ie/celt

Previous and ongoing technology-related projects include: the National Digital Learning Repository, the European E-Competence Initiative, International Video Seminar Programme, the Scottish Electronic Staff Development Library, EuroMET - European Meteorological Education & Training.....

I'm Scottish and live in exile in Ireland but have worked in and visited many other countries, especially in my previous life as an astrophysicist and miss the fun times I had at the University of Hawaii 88-inch telescope and the Anglo-Australian Observatory!
