I'm the Director of the Centre for Excellence in Learning & Teaching at the National University of Ireland, Galway. We're responsible for Learning Technologies, Audiovisual systems, Language Learning Technologies, Faculty Development, Teaching & Learning Policy, Civic Engagement and miscellaneous other items! I'm Scottish and live in exile in Ireland but have worked in and visited many other countries, especially in my previous life as an astrophysicist and miss the fun times I had at the University of Hawaii 88-inch telescope and the Anglo-Australian Observatory!
