Daily, we are confronted with stories of budget cuts, increasing joblessness rates, and sinking markets. If indeed, necessity is the mother of invention, there is no better time than now to investigate new approaches for doing more with less on our campuses and cultivating more efficient ways to advance teaching and learning with technology. From Web 2.0 technologies to cloud computing and open-source software, learn how campuses are delivering new services while balancing tight budgets in this one-hour Solutions in Action webcast as part of the EDUCAUSE Top Teaching and Learning Challenges, 2009.
Each webcast features a lightning round of five-minute presentations from community members sharing how their campus is facing the challenge. No registration is required and each session will be hosted online in Adobe Connect, giving participants an opportunity to interact with speakers and each other.
This is your chance to showcase your campus and connect with colleagues around real solutions and innovative directions. If you - or your institution - has an idea to share for any of the Challenges, please email ELI Program Administrator Carie Page at cpage@educause.edu.
Please note: All times are in Eastern Time.
Connection Instructions: The URL for the webcast is http://educause.acrobat.com/elisem. To join, select "Enter as a Guest", type in your name, and click on "Enter Room".
Prior to the webcast, please run the Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Connection Test before the event. The test takes approximately 30 seconds and will verify that your computer meets hardware and software requirements to use Adobe Connect, and will provide instructions for installing Adobe Flash, if needed. If you have problems completing the test, or installing required software, please contact support@clarix.com, or visit Adobe Support for more information. If you are having audio or video issues during the event, please see our Adobe Connect Frequently Asked Questions or Technical Information page.
Please note that ELI will be offering a back-up conference call line if you experience difficulties. Please note the number and plan to have a telephone in the room on the day of the webcast. The call-in number is: 1-877-944-2300, access code 99264#.
